Meet Maha, the Captain of the U20 UAE National Team whose contributions extend beyond the playing field as she actively supports the coaching staff, demonstrating proficiency in various aspects of the game.
Maha's journey into football is deeply personal. Motivated by the memory of her late sister, Khadijah, Maha felt the need to connect to her sister through exploring her top passion of football. That lead Maha to kick a ball for the first time at the age of 15, briefly starting as a striker.
A pivotal moment in Maha's football career occurred in 2022 when she was honored with the Best Goalkeeper Award in the UAE.
Off the pitch, Maha finds joy in spending time with family, exploring new destinations, and connecting with the serenity of the beach and nature.
Additionally, she serves as a Cultural Guide at Al Shindagha Museum, where she plays a crucial role in representing and educating others on the culture and heritage of the UAE.
