Amal Wael, a true team leader that has soared after 2 ACL’s like a breeze. She will be the first, and only one, to say that she’s not talented but she puts in the work. While we completely disagree with the former, her dedication to her craft is undeniable.
Amal’s earliest memories with football take her back to watching a Chelsea vs Man United game with her father. While Chelsea’s win made her a blue fan, it was the incredible David Beckham on the opposing side that made her a football fan for life.
This champion’s most notable moments in the game both are of a goal she scored after each of her 2 ACL surgeries – one in 2016 with her first league game post-op, and the another as her first official National Team goal after the second surgery. These instances underscore her resilience and determination on the pitch and are very telling of her life and mindset off the pitch.
Amal's professional pursuits align with her academic background in communications and media intelligence as she leads Government Communication Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Media Office. Off the field, Amal's interests span a diverse range—she's a beach goer, movie buff, avid traveler, and a competitive sports lover, with tennis holding a special place in her heart.
