Banaat FC Closes Out 2025 Season to Precision

⚽ First Division, Match Day 10
📅 Monday, June 9, 2025
📍 Humaid Al-Tayer Stadium, Dubai, UAE

Banaat FC ended their 2025 campaign with a 5-1 defeat to Precision. Despite a determined start and a first-half comeback from a one-goal deficit, our efforts ultimately fell short. The result was a difficult one to accept, as we had been aiming to close out the season on a positive note.

The match drew attention from several media outlets covering the story of women’s football in the UAE, many of whom were surprised to discover the existence and scale of the local women’s league. For Banaat FC, this spotlight served as an opportunity to represent the game and increase the visibility of women's football in the UAE.

Additionally, the starting XI walkout featured player mascots – a significant moment, as this has never been done in this league. Although it was a small gesture, it elevated the sense of professionalism and served as a source of inspiration for the young girls watching.

The event also drew 127 spectators, our highest attendance to date, marking a proud milestone in our journey to grow the women’s game.

Precision opened up the scoring first, finding the back of the net early on in the match. However, striker Manela Donyoh took the opportunity to level the score shortly after. Her strike off a long range free kick was sent into the top left corner of the net, getting us an equalizer.

A drop of focus from our side in the first half gave Precision the opportunity to continue their offensive pressure. They capitalized with three more goals before the halftime whistle.

In the second half, our side continued to push forward in search of a way back into the game. However, Precision maintained their momentum and added a fifth goal, effectively securing the result.

Post match, Head Coach Bacary Sagna reflected on the results of the season and the potential for this club to become a dominant force in the league. In her closing remarks, Club President Budreya Faisal addressed the team directly in an end of season speech that reaffirmed the existing standards and expectations of the club.

Despite the setbacks of the season, the injuries and uncertainty from the league, we remain committed to our long-term development and ambitions. The players, coaching staff and management will be taking a comprehensive approach in their review, determined to return stronger in the upcoming season.

As the team enters the offseason, with planning for the new season already in motion, the coming weeks will be pivotal in shaping the future of Banaat FC. We remain committed to our long-term vision – both in developing top-tier talent and in building a platform that elevates the game. Next season will be different – more competitive, more ambitious, and more impactful.
