🪩 End of Season Dinner
📅 Friday, June 5th, 2026
📍 Alserkal Avenue, Dubai
At the beginning of the week, Banaat FC won the first-ever UAE Women’s Super Cup, drawing the 25/26 season officially to a close. At the end of the week, the team gathered at the Hub in Alserkal Avenue to look back on their incredible season over a shared dinner, speeches and awards.
With the large mural featuring “شجع بنات بلادك (Support the girls of your country)” set up as a backdrop, players were photographed in front of it with their shining League and Super Cup trophies.
Upon everyone’s arrival, the team sat down for dinner generously catered by Alserkal Avenue family and partners NALA, Dastarkhān, and Subko with fantastic food and drinks, alongside Brown Sugar’s espresso banana bread, a season-regular and club favorite.

After dinner, players sat alongside one another as Club President Budreya Faisal began with heartfelt words of appreciation for the team, and each player in turn shared similar words of affirmation and affection for one another. Coach Kevin Palma joined in, thanking everyone for their hard work and shouting out Yannick Assadourian, self-proclaimed Chief Volunteer Officer, for helping to carry equipment every training session. When Yannick reflected on his time supporting the club, he said “I’ve worked my way up in banking for 18 years to get to where I am - but nothing gives me more satisfaction than helping this club with training sessions and collecting equipment.”
The awards continued with a refreshed sense of camaraderie. Players who couldn’t attend the dinner in person joined via Zoom, waving to the room of grinning teammates through a phone screen.

The first award of the evening was Fan’s Player of the Season, which Caye Apostol Yocor (7) won in a landslide with a whopping 545 votes. A player for the club since its inception, it’s unsurprising that her loyalty to the club and fierce performance on the pitch captured fans’ admiration.
Club Woman of the Season, voted for by club staff and players, went to Safa Shafi (8), a young team member whose one goal of the season secured the League win. Safa represents the club and its values, and supports the club on and off the pitch. She particularly shined with her Big Sister energy when she volunteered to support BFC’s first-ever Summer Camp in 2025. Having been a member of the Banaat FC academy and played for the U18s, it really was a full-circle moment.
Most Improved Player went to Leen Al Haj (23), a once quiet and solitary player who joined the squad through a trial last season, and whose fiery attacking presence on the pitch has only grown stronger throughout the season. This undeniable soul of the team transformed her game and energy, scoring six goals across the 14 games she participated in.
The Golden Boot award went to the club’s youngest player, Bogi Tramontini (6), who scored a killer 24 goals across the 14 games she played in this season. For her reward, she was given a new pair of Nike boots from Banaat FC’s first-ever partners and sponsors, Number10. Given her amazing performance this year, it is no surprise that she was also awarded this year’s Player of the Season, proudly presented to her by both Budreya Faisal and Kevin Palma.

After much applause and celebration, Budreya rounded out the evening with final words, in which she also officially announced a few players’ departures from the club. Banaat FC will be saying goodbye to Wuyah Sao (11), Safa Shafi (8), Maymi Asgari (12), Stella Fedyunin and Bogi Tramontini (6), as they pursue new opportunities that take some of them to new schools, clubs and opportunities abroad. Though the club is sad to see them go, Banaat FC wishes all departing players who were part of this historic season all the success in the world. Their names are forever part of this club’s story.
