📍 United Club, Dubai Sports City
On Monday night, the UAE Women's Super Cup brought together the champions of the UAE Women's League and the winners of the inaugural Women's Cup in a thrilling convergence of the country's top women's football talent.
Banaat FC were crowned champions of the League on 19th May, while Precision took home the Women's Cup on the 24th May, beating Banaat FC in a champion-making match. Just over a week later, the two sides met again with the ultimate trophy on the line, setting the stage for a winner-takes-all rematch.
With Banaat seeking redemption and Precision looking to prove their cup success was no fluke, the Super Cup delivered everything expected of a championship showdown.

All to Play For
From the opening whistle, the contest was played at a relentless pace. The sides went neck-and-neck throughout, matching each other goal for goal in a fiercely competitive encounter that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
Precision struck first in the 3rd minute. Fania Donyoh (9) delivered a dangerous cross into the box and Cadhla Gillen (7) applied the finishing touch to give her side an early advantage.
As the first half wore on, Banaat FC began to grow into the game. In the 39th minute, Precision FC captain Eve Barnes (10) was shown a yellow card for a foul that awarded Banaat FC a free kick in a dangerous area. Defender Salha Rashid (16) stepped up two minutes later and produced a moment of brilliance, driving her effort from well outside the box on the right-hand side into the back of the net to level the scores.
The momentum shifted further in Banaat's favour during the first-half stoppage time. Precision's Lauren Walker (4) was shown a red card in the box, gifting Banaat the chance to take the lead. Bogi Tramonini (6) made no mistake, expertly placing her penalty to the goalkeeper's left as the keeper dived the opposite way.
Banaat entered the break leading 2-1, looking poised to take control of the final.

It’s Not Over Yet
Any hopes of Banaat FC controlling the second half were short-lived. Precision responded immediately after the restart, with Fania Donyoh (9) finding the net just one minute into the half to level the score at 2-2. Undeterred, Banaat FC quickly regrouped as the match continued at a relentless pace.
The game continued to swing from end to end with the mounting intensity. Hannah Morris (14) replaced Leen Al Haj (23) in the 55th minute as Banaat FC looked to inject fresh energy into midfield. Eight minutes later, Precision's Adriane Rowiecki (2) received a yellow card before subbing out for Safiya Ahmed (19).
Precision FC regained the lead in the 65th minute. After Banaat FC lost possession following a goal kick, Eve Barnes (10) delivered a cross from the left and Cadhla Gillen (7) delivered a two-touch finish to score her second goal of the evening.
The response from Banaat was immediate. Just four minutes later, Hannah Morris’ (14) corner caused chaos inside the penalty area, where Lizz Froshaw (4) reacted quickest to a deflection during a crowded box scramble to make it 3-3.
With the match heading towards a dramatic conclusion, the audience were on the edge of their seats. Banaat FC introduced Caye Apostol Yocor (7) for Wuyah Sao (11) in the 79th minute. It proved to be an inspired move, when Caye (7) produced one of the defining moments of the match. Picking up possession, she beat two defenders before rounding the advancing goalkeeper and volleying the ball into the net to put Banaat FC in the lead once more.

Banaat FC’s supporters were absolutely ecstatic, but Precision FC refused to surrender. In the 87th minute, Lauren Haynes (6) scored a clinching equalizer, connecting with a bicycle kick following a corner deflection to make it 4-4 and set up a tension-riddled finish.
With six minutes of stoppage time added and penalties looming, Banaat FC refused to settle. In the dying moments of the match, they carved out one final opportunity — and made it count.
In the second minute of stoppage time, Stella Sky Fedyunin (9) threaded a pass forward to Bogi (6), who drove past two defenders before finishing with composure to score her second goal of the night and restore Banaat FC’s lead. The stadium erupted in celebration, though nerves quickly returned. With the intensity of the contest showing no signs of easing, attention immediately turned to whether Precision FC could respond once more.
The closing moments were played out with high emotion, players gave everything they had left and fans watched on with bated breath. In the 96th minute, Celine Zeidan (15) entered the match after Stella Fedyunin (9) took a frenzied elbow to the temple following a heated play for possession.
Only a minute later, the final whistle sounded. Banaat FC 5 - 4 Precision FC.

The crowd erupted into celebration as a drum line in the front seats of the stand played joyfully whilst fans rejoiced and chanted in time with the beat. A stunning victory completed Banaat FC’s redemption story, avenging their cup-final defeat and securing the inaugural UAE Women's Super Cup in unforgettable fashion.

Looking Ahead
After the Super Cup win and previous League triumph, the Club now sets its sights on international waters as they prepare for the West Asian Football Championship kicking off in Jordan on 28th July. It’ll be the first time that the Club will compete in an international competition, and the first Emirati Club since the Abu Dhabi Country Club to compete abroad. Ironically, it seems Banaat FC's off-season is very much 'on'.
