Banaat FC concluded their AFC Women’s Champions League Preliminary Stage campaign with a 7–0 defeat to hosts PFC Nasaf in Qarshi.

After a 1–1 draw against Royal Thimphu College and a commanding 9–0 victory over Master FC, Banaat FC entered their final Group C fixture knowing that the challenge would be their toughest yet.
Waiting on the other side was PFC Nasaf, the tournament hosts and a side that had already won both of their opening group-stage fixtures.
With the final place in the next stage on the line, the stage was set for Banaat FC's final test in Qarshi.

A Fast Start from the Hosts
PFC Nasaf immediately looked to establish control, making use of their possession and attacking movement from the opening whistle.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 5th minute.
Following a throw-in, PFC Nasaf worked the ball into the centre of the box before a strike from distance curved beyond the Banaat FC defence and goalkeeper Maha Alblooshi (1), finding the net.
Five minutes later, PFC Nasaf doubled their advantage.
A cross from the left was met inside the box before the ball fell to a PFC Nasaf attacker on the edge of the penalty area, who struck into the bottom-left corner.

Banaat FC found themselves under sustained pressure, but goalkeeper Maha (1) produced an important save in the 31st minute, denying Nasaf after a corner created a scramble inside the penalty area.
The intensity of the match continued to build, with several yellow cards shown as both teams battled for control.
In the closing stages of the half, PFC Nasaf added a third.
After a driving run down the pitch and a cross towards the edge of the box, PFC Nasaf worked the ball into position for another strike which found the left side of the net.
3–0 at half-time.
Banaat FC Continue to Battle
Despite the deficit, Banaat FC continued to look for opportunities after the restart.
In the 52nd minute, Sabrine Mamay (10) found space outside the penalty area and unleashed another long-range effort. The PFC Nasaf goalkeeper was forced to react quickly, managing to tip the ball over the crossbar.
Banaat FC continued to make changes, with Ghanima Rashid Alzaabi (20) introduced for Rayana Issa (21) in the 57th minute.
PFC Nasaf, however, continued to control possession and create chances.
The hosts added a fourth in the 66th minute, before further goals in the 75th and 77th minutes extended their advantage.
Banaat FC continued to search for a response.
Sabrine again came close from a free-kick in the 79th minute, forcing another save from the PFC Nasaf goalkeeper, while Maha remained busy at the other end.
In the 90+1st minute, Sabrine narrowly missed the target after another promising opportunity.
PFC Nasaf added their seventh and final goal in the 90+3rd minute, with Maha getting a touch to the initial effort but unable to prevent the ball from finding the net.
The final whistle soon followed.

A Difficult Final Result
There is no hiding from the result.
PFC Nasaf controlled much of the match, finishing with 66% possession and nine shots on target compared with Banaat FC's two. Their attacking pressure ultimately proved decisive.
For Banaat FC, the final score was a difficult way to close the campaign — but it should be viewed within the wider context of what this tournament represented.
This was the club's first-ever AFC Women’s Champions League campaign.
The squad had travelled to Uzbekistan, adapted to a new environment, competed against clubs from across Asia and experienced the demands of continental football at the highest club level.
They had opened the tournament with a hard-fought draw, followed it with a nine-goal victory and reached the final group fixture with an opportunity to progress.
There were difficult moments too and those are part of the experience.
The Bigger Picture
The AWCL campaign gave Banaat FC something that cannot be measured by a single scoreline: experience on the continental stage.
Players faced new opposition, new styles of play and a different level of competition. The squad continued to build connections, adapt to challenges and learn what it takes to compete beyond the UAE.
For a club making its first appearance in the AFC Women’s Champions League, every minute on the pitch was another step in that learning process.
And with the tournament now complete, Banaat FC returned home with more than just results.
They returned with experience. With memories.
And with a clearer understanding of the level they aspire to reach.
The Journey Continues
From becoming UAE champions to making their first international appearance in Jordan, then progressing to the WAFF semi-finals before traveling to Uzbekistan for the AFC Women’s Champions League, 2026 has already marked a new chapter for Banaat FC.
The AWCL campaign may have ended in Qarshi, but the journey does not end here.
This was the first time Banaat FC stepped onto Asia's biggest club stage.
