After opening their first international campaign with a 4–0 victory over Beirut Football Academy, Banaat FC returned to Prince Mohammed Stadium for their second Group A fixture, facing hosts Etihad Club in a fiercely contested encounter.

An Early Lead
Banaat FC started brightly and took the lead in the 7th minute.
Captain Sabrine Mamay (10) stepped up from the penalty spot, keeping her composure to send the ball into the top-left corner and put Banaat FC ahead.

Etihad responded before the break, finding an equalizer from a free-kick after the initial effort was deflected by the Banaat FC goalkeeper and followed up by the Etihad attacker.
The sides went into the interval level at 1–1.
Etihad Take the Lead
The second half brought another twist.
Etihad were awarded a penalty, with the spot-kick finding the bottom-right corner to put the hosts ahead.
2–1.
The intensity continued to rise as both sides battled for control, with the match becoming increasingly physical, with 5 yellow cards shown across the game.
Banaat FC were reduced to ten players in the 61st minute following a red card to Agyemang Asirifi, Servi (19), leaving the team with a significant challenge for the remainder of the match.
Banaat FC Fight Back
Despite being a player down, Banaat FC continued to push forward.
In the 72nd minute, Jennifer Yeboah (24) found space on the right and played the ball out to Sabrine Mamay (10). The captain delivered a cross into the box, where Lizz (8) met it and managed to fire her effort past both a defender and the goalkeeper into the bottom-left corner.

With less than 20 minutes remaining, Banaat FC had fought its way back into the contest.
Etihad continued to press, and another penalty in the 89th minute gave the hosts the opportunity to regain the lead.
The spot-kick was again sent towards the bottom-right corner, giving Etihad a late 3–2 advantage.
Despite a determined final push from Banaat FC, Etihad held on for the victory.
Through to the Semi-Finals
While the result marked Banaat FC's first defeat of the WAFF campaign, the outcome of the group still secured the UAE champions a place in the semi-finals.
With the opening 4–0 victory over Beirut Football Academy providing a strong goal difference advantage, Banaat FC finished top of Group A, progressing to the knockout stage of their first international competition.
The result demonstrated the competitive nature of the tournament, but also the resilience of a Banaat FC side that continued to fight after being reduced to ten players.
The Journey Continues
Two group matches down, Banaat FC had achieved what they had set out to do: progress beyond the group stage of their first-ever international competition.
Banaat FC arrived in Jordan as UAE champions. They had left the group stage as semi-finalists.
