Banaat FC returned to home action on Friday, 17th April at Al Nasr Club, earning a 10–3 victory over UAE Juniors in an entertaining and competitive UAE Women’s League fixture. In a match that tested both attacking quality and composure, Banaat showed resilience and clinical finishing to secure all three points.

Fast Start and First-Half Battle
Banaat FC made an explosive start, taking the lead inside the opening minute. Straight from kick-off, Bogi finished confidently from a central position after being set up by Wuyah, whose early involvement set the tone for the attacking play.

The pressure continued as Lizz doubled the lead in the 8th minute, tapping home from a well-delivered cross by Bogi. Just two minutes later, she struck again — reacting quickest after her initial effort was saved to convert the rebound and make it 3–0.

Despite the strong start, UAE Juniors responded effectively, scoring three goals in quick succession in the 21st, 26th, and 29th minutes to level the score at 3–3 and shift the momentum.

Banaat responded with composure. In the 31st minute, Lizz completed her hat-trick, rising to head home from a corner delivered by Hannah. She added her fourth in the 37th minute with an impressive volley over the defence.

Just before half-time, Wuyah capped off a strong first-half display with a brilliant solo effort in stoppage time, beating both defender and goalkeeper to restore a three-goal advantage. Banaat entered the break leading 6–3 after a high-intensity first half.

Second Half Control and Clinical Finishing
The second half saw Banaat regain control of the tempo while managing a physical contest, with several yellow cards issued during the period.

In the 74th minute, Lizz added her fifth goal of the match, finishing from an assist by Caye to cap off another well-worked attacking move. She completed her six-goal performance in the 87th minute, rising to head home from a cross delivered by Bogi — a standout individual display that combined clinical finishing with strong overall contribution across the pitch.

Caye added her name to the scoresheet in the 80th minute, reacting quickly to convert a rebound following a Bogi effort.

Bogi then rounded off the scoring in the 89th minute, converting confidently from the penalty spot to seal a 10–3 victory.

Post-Match Reflections
Coach Kevin reflected on both the team’s progress and areas for improvement following the match:

“In training, we worked on a number of concepts that I wanted to see implemented in possession, and it was encouraging to see moments where that came through in the game. Even when it didn’t come off — often due to the quality of the final pass — it was still positive. It showed that the players are trusting the ideas and actively trying to put them into practice.

UAE Juniors are a young but very technical team. They gave our players a lot to think about and presented a strong challenge. At half-time, the message was simple: stay calm under pressure, improve communication in defensive situations, and look for small gaps to play through.

Although we made some errors, there were several standout performances. Wuyah was excellent, particularly in 1v1 situations. Lizz was outstanding as well, scoring six goals while also contributing defensively and combining really well with her teammates.

I was also very pleased with the impact of the players who came off the bench — Rayana, Celine, Yasmine, and Caye. They maintained a high tempo and remained a real threat going forward. Overall, there were plenty of positive moments, but also areas we need to continue working on in training to ensure we are at our absolute best as we approach the end of the season.”

Looking Ahead
With another strong result, Banaat FC continue to build momentum as the season progresses.

Attention now turns to their next fixture, where the team will look to carry forward their attacking form while refining key areas as they push towards the final stages of the campaign.
