Banaat FC secured a vital 4–1 victory over Dubai rivals Precision at Al Nasr Stadium, on Wednesday evening. Facing one of their toughest tests of the season, Banaat combined clinical finishing with disciplined defensive work to secure an important three points in the title race.
Early Pressure Pays off for Banaat FC
Banaat FC started strongly, taking the lead in the 5th minute through Bogi, who intercepted a defensive pass near the edge of the box before driving forward and finishing confidently from the left side to give Banaat an early advantage.

She doubled the lead again in the 12th minute with another excellent individual effort, surging through the left-centre channel and beating multiple defenders before calmly finding the net.
Banaat’s aggressive pressing and energy caused consistent problems for Precision throughout the opening stages. A key part of Banaat’s intensity came from defender Servi, whose versatility and defensive work rate proved crucial throughout the first half. Precision responded in the 29th minute, cutting Banaat’s lead to 2–1 and increasing the pressure heading into half-time.
Second Half Resilience and Clinical Finishing
The second half saw Banaat continue to adapt well against an experienced Precision side, balancing defensive discipline with dangerous attacking transitions.
Bogi completed her hat-trick in the 54th minute following a Banaat corner delivered by Hannah. The effort deflected off a defender and looped into the top-right corner, restoring Banaat’s two-goal advantage.
Leen was introduced in the 56th minute, adding fresh energy as the match became increasingly physical and competitive. Several bookings followed throughout the half as tensions rose between both sides.
Banaat continued to defend resolutely, with goalkeeper Amna producing several important saves — including two particularly strong stops from dangerous Precision efforts on target — helping preserve the team’s advantage during key moments of pressure.
In the closing stages, Bogi capped off a remarkable individual display with her fourth goal of the night in the 85th minute. After a long delivery forward from Lizz deep inside Banaat’s own half, Bogi drove into the opposition defence, beat two defenders, and finished emphatically to seal the victory.
Late substitutions saw Ghanima introduced before the final whistle as Banaat closed out an impressive 4–1 result.
Post-Match Reflections
Coach Kevin praised the team’s resilience and adaptability following the victory: “It was a tough battle against a strong opponent who made it difficult for us to play our preferred style, but I was really pleased with how well we adapted and how resilient we were defensively.”
He also highlighted the performances of Bogi, Rayana, and Yasmine, commending the younger players for stepping up against experienced opposition and showing great character in an important win for the title race.
Defender Ghanima reflected positively on the result, saying: “The match was a bit difficult, but nothing is impossible when you have the spirit.”
Looking ahead, she added: “Inshallah, in the next match, victory will be ours.”
Looking Ahead
With a statement victory over one of their closest rivals, Banaat FC continue to strengthen their position in the title race while building momentum at a crucial stage of the season.
Now sitting firmly at the top of the league table with just three matches remaining, Banaat will turn their attention to their next fixture against Mubadara on May 15th.
The team will look to carry this confidence, defensive resilience, and attacking form into the decisive final stretch of the campaign.
